MLM Training ? Effective Leadership

Leadership can be a difficult concept to define. Many people have great difficulty describing exactly what makes a good leader. They can often make a long list of qualities that a great leader has but are often at a loss to put their finger on exactly what leadership is.

It gets even harder in the MLM industry because often the people who are in leadership positions are generally not good leadership examples for most of the people in the field. I don’t mean this in a bad way. It’s just that some of the people in leadership roles are corporate types who work for the company and the style of leadership they need to succeed is very different from what the field distributors need. There are also some examples among the top income earners in the MLM structure but in many of the established companies, their businesses were build a long time ago and the ideas and methods they used are often not applicable to today’s MLM environment. The leadership and MLM Training they provide are often based on their past success.

In a modern MLM business you need to seek out those who have had recent success. Find those people whose organizations are growing today not people who have large, stable organizations that were built ten or fifteen years ago. If you are taking MLM Training courses, you need to ensure that they are using up to date methods and techniques that work today. You are going to have a very difficult time building your business with outdated methods.

One of the things I teach in my MLM Training is that you must position yourself as a leader. People searching for an MLM opportunity are actually searching for a peer to help them succeed with an MLM opportunity. Your prospects will respond to you if you display leadership qualities that they admire. One of the most important of these is that you surround yourself with good people. Your prospects won’t mind if you personally don’t have all the answers as long as you can provide access to experts who do. You don’t need to create advertising programs or MLM Training courses yourself. You simply need to find a good partner to provide them for you and position yourself as one of a team of experts.

Another thing I teach is that you must lead by example. I have reviewed countless MLM Training courses where the trainer goes on and on about certain things you should do to be successful but they don’t do them themselves. When I create MLM Training Videos, I show you all of the steps required for a given concept. For example, I actually set up a Facebook advertising campaign during the MLM training module on Facebook advertising. It makes no sense for me to tell you to do something that I don’t do. A true leader will lead by example and show their followers that they are willing to go through the process and do the same work as they are asking you to.

To be an effective leader you need your follows to know that you are all in it together and that each individual member will have success if they contribute to the success of the group. Take an MLM Training course with your group. Show them that you are willing to do what you need to do to be successful. A leader isn’t just the boss or someone who knows everything. A leader is someone who will help guide and inspire the group as they succeed together.
