A Networks To Access box that provides three choices:
Any Available Network (Access Point Preferred) This policy will select an access point over an AD Hoc network; however, connection to an AD Hoc network is not prevented.
Access Point (Infrastructure) Networks Only Set this policy to prevent connections to AD Hoc networks.
Computer-To-Computer (AD Hoc) Network Only Set this policy to prevent connection to an AP.

figuration over any third-party wireless client software.An Automatically Connect To Non-Preferred Networks check box. This box is
cleared by default. If selected, it allows free CompTIA practice tests automatic connection to any available wireless network not a particularly good idea if you are attempting to design a secure wireless infrastructure. Allowing a client to connect to just any wireless network might expose the client to wireless attacks from other participants. Allowing automatic connection might mean that the client connects to a network without the user’s knowledge. The user might think her network is not accessible by attackers when the network cable is unplugged, but because of this feature, the user might actually be connected and under attack without knowing it.
Adding Preferred Networks Adding preferred networks to the policy provides clients with preconfigured settings that will enable them to automatically connect to approved APs. Client configurations for approved networks are configured by using the Add button on the Preferred Networks tab.

AP settings for 802.Ix wireless network connections are configured on the~ Network Properties and IEEE 802.Ix tabs. The Network Properties tab (shown in Figure 12-10) should include the SSID. Follow these guidelines regarding the checkboxes:
Select the Data Encryption (WEP Enabled) check box to provide encryption of data.
Do not select the Network Authentication (Shared Mode) check box. Open mode is required to allow authentication via IAS.
