Many of us, many a times in our life, definitely have come across with some problems related to self confidence. People from every walk of life must have faced the feeling of lack of self confidence in their day to day agenda. Without self confidence we cannot reach anywhere. This is a real enemy to our life.
Every activity in our life is directly related to self confidence. This problem starts from the very first day when we attain consciousness. An infant does not have that consciousness and thus what to say about its self confidence.
Keeping physically fit is the foremost slogan for self confidence. There is a saying, children often have been taught, ‘Early to bed and early to rise keep a man healthy, wealthy and wise.’ Said rightly, everybody can try this. Scientifically also it is a proven fact. The Indian saints encouraged this style of life thousands of years ago. Waking up early gives us opportunity to breathe fresh air and that itself rejuvenates our body.
When the body is fit, our mind will follow it. A free mind thinks clearly. Our mind attains analytical ability and memory improves. If our cells are healthy, especially from the brain, memory power improves and we process our thoughts clearly.
Once our thoughts are clear, our confidence level gets a boost, as we are able to determine clearly, in advance the pros and cons of the results of our actions. If we are nervous about the progress of the work or results, the job cannot be done well. When we do some exercise to keep our body fit, we then have to consciously do something to keep our mind fit and tranquil.
Meditation or yoga is the right answer to this. We must find some time, at least 30 minutes to practice it. Meditation is nothing, but sitting on the floor or on the chair, eyes shut, observing our breath only and doing nothing else.
In the beginning our mind may wander here and there and we may not be able to concentrate on the breathing. But when we do it regularly, every day, we will be able to concentrate and we can feel the difference soon.
Yoga is meditation with motion. When you can clear your mind and continue to move with purpose, you can see the effects of the physical and the mental working in unison. The mind, body, spirit balance aids our self to be more confident and to make the right choices for us.
People talk about the self confidence that comes mechanically, by doing listing, watching, reviewing and again looking at it, but they do not think about the basic things that it should come out from our body and mind.
Once your body and mind is fit, we will be able to understand and judge our self on what is right and what is wrong.
