The Entraction Network – Playability

After many sessions playing poker I decided to cast my memory back to when I was starting out and looking for places to play and I remember the great indecision and runaround I had when first deciding what network and room to play on. Many factors came into my head including safety, fishiness, player rewards and support. In an attempt to make a small donation back into the poker community I decided that it may be of some worth for me to write a short review of my experience in an attempt to pass on some tips to players who are fresh to the online game.

After searching high and low for a good fitting network I decided to play on the Entraction network or as it was known back then the B2B network. Back in its hay day the Entraction network had some solid traffic and was relatively fishy. The network as I remember seemed very average and nothing particularly stood out for me until I discovered that the Entraction network allowed players to claim up to 30% rakeback. The discovery of Entraction rakeback swung my decision and I signed up pretty hastily to one of the bigger rooms: NoIQ Poker.

Currently the Entraction network is one of the smaller networks out there in terms of traffic however it still a very playable network and there is more than ample traffic throughout the day for most mid to low stakes. In my experience playing at Entraction I have found that the software is very solid and in my opinion is very user friendly. The software also allows for the use of third party tracking software like HEM and PT3 which is always a bonus for players looking for an extra edge.

In terms of the quality of traffic present at Entraction it is a very mixed bag. Entraction is a relatively soft network in my opinion, I personally found that due to the fact that Entraction rakeback is not particularly well publicised that many regs and sharks decide tend to go to other networks for rakeback promotions thus leaving Entraction with a relatively soft pool of players.

In conclusion, the Entraction network is a solid place to play your poker and I have had an excellent time playing poker there. The software whilst basic and maybe a little uninspired feels solid and is definitely very playable. The soft player base and rakeback promotions available can make Entraction an extremely profitable place to play. And whilst the network is not renowned for large amounts of traffic, it still has the ability to support cash games all the way up to 200nl and even further up if played at peak times. All in all I would recommend Entraction to all new players looking for a solid network to play poker on.
